Identity & Data Resolution Notice

Click Makers, LLC D.B.A. Growth Ring Media

Purpose

How we connect records about the same person or business across systems, what data we use, how long we keep it, and your choices.

Identity Data

  • Contact: name, email, phone, company, role, address
  • Identifiers: cookies, IP address, mobile ad IDs
  • Internal IDs: form, call tracking, chat, scheduling, CRM, billing
  • Campaign context: pages viewed, ads clicked, UTM, creative IDs, call metadata

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

Sources

  • You and your systems
  • Our sites and tooling (consent banner, pixels, call tracking, analytics)
  • Approved service providers and partners named in your SOW

How Matching Works

  • Deterministic: exact keys like email, phone, CRM ID, or hashed versions
  • Probabilistic: signals such as IP, device traits, referrer, time window, geography
  • Location joins: address may link records to the same premises

We prefer deterministic matches. Each match has a confidence score. We do not merge below threshold.

Audience Measurement & Identity Resolution on Our Publications

Our publications, including thebackcut.com, use Audience Passport (audiencepassport.com), an independent audience-measurement service, to verify the composition of our audience for sponsors and advertisers. The measurement instrument:

  • collects pageview-level technical signals: IP address, browser and device characteristics, page URL, referrer, and a first-party cookie identifier;
  • for visitors in the United States, matches device identifiers against a third-party identity dataset to associate a visit with a verified person record and attributes such as age range, occupation category, and hashed email identifiers;
  • runs bot-detection measurement (FouAnalytics) that classifies pageviews as human or automated;
  • reports aggregate statistics only. No name, email address, or other directly identifying information appears in any published audience report, and person-level records are not returned to us.

We may use hashed email identifiers derived from this measurement to build advertising audiences on platforms such as Meta.

Your choices. The instrument honors Global Privacy Control (GPC) automatically: browsers that send GPC are never matched to the identity dataset. Identity resolution is limited to US traffic. California residents may also opt out via our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link. To exercise access, deletion, correction, or opt-out rights over measurement data, contact branchout@growthringmedia.com . On a verified request we will exclude your records from our measurement reporting. Measurement records are retained by our measurement providers without a fixed retention period.

How We Use It

  • Personalize sequences you approve

What We Do Not Do

  • No combining client data across clients except in de-identified or aggregated form
  • No use of sensitive personal data for ad targeting
